His Eminence, the Obong of Calabar, this week welcomed a delegation of Efik diaspora leaders to the Palace, marking a renewed commitment to strengthening ties between the Kingdom and its global community.
The delegation, representing Efik associations from North America, Europe and the Gulf region, met with the Obong and members of the Etubom Council to discuss the Efik Language Portal, the OCEF scholarship programme and plans for an expanded diaspora homecoming weekend.
The Kingdom’s strength depends on the active participation of Efik people wherever they reside.
The visit concluded with a tour of the Palace archives and a reception in the Palace gardens.
