Utomo Obong 2026: Proclamation of Commencement
The 15th edition of Utomo Obong opens at the Palace with the proclamation of the commencement of Utomo Obong 2026 activities.
Utomo Obong is the annual cultural homage to the Obong of Calabar and celebration of the Efik cultural heritage, organised by the Obong of Calabar Executive Forum (OCEF) of the Royal Court of the Palace. It gathers the Efik Kingdom, her sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora, in service of the Efik throne, the Kingdom, the State and the nation. The week also features the award of scholarships to deserving sons and daughters, and the Efik Royal Concert of songs, folklore, fashion, poetry and dance.
